When we are in a true Reiki space, species differences melt away and profound interspecies
connections are forged.
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “universal life force”. It is one of a growing number of alternative health treatments gaining popularity in the West.

According to the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP), “Reiki is a subtle and
effective form of energy healing using spiritually guided life force energy… practiced in every country
of the world.” While often considered to be spiritual in nature, Reiki is not “affiliated with any
particular religion or religious practice.”
What happens in a Reiki process?
There is no hard and fast rule of carrying out Reiki. Most commonly, Reiki is offered through light,
non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head
and front and back of the torso. The placement of the hands should never be intrusive or
inappropriate, nor there should be any pressure.
What one can expect to feel in a Reiki process?
The experience of Reiki is subjective, changeable, and sometimes very subtle. People often
experience heat in the practitioner's hands, but sometimes the practitioner's hands feel refreshingly
cool. One of the studies says recipients feel that they are hovering in a threshold state of
consciousness, simultaneously aware of their surroundings and deeply indrawn. Some people fall
into a deep, sleeplike meditative state. Overall, you feel good about your mind, body, and soul.

The short answer is – It can be learned by anyone. The only requirement is you should be interested
